What is Gluten?

But you shouldn’t lose heart because BBQ sauces can easily be prepared at home within minutes. Here is one of our favorite homemade BBQ sauce by Leslie that is completely Gluten free!

Homemade Gluten Free BBQ Sauce Recipes


  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp white or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp gluten free soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp gluten free tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp Dark Molasses (optional)
  • 2 tsp gluten free Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp gluten free yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or gluten free hot sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp Lawry’s seasoning salt


  • Pour all the ingredients into a cooking pot
  • Start mixing the ingredients with a hand beater
  • Start the heat at medium flame
  • Keep mixing the ingredients until lumps disappear and all ingredients are mixed thoroughly
  • Now simmer over low heat while continuing to mix the ingredients
  • Keep stirring the ingredients frequently while on simmer for at least an hour so the sauce is pasteurized
  • When the sauce thickens and is reduced by half, it is ready
  • Now pour the nice dark brown colored sauce in a jar after letting it rest for an hour or if you want to serve immediately, put it in a serving bowl
