Top 5 Pork Masterbuilt Electric Smoker Recipes

#1. Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Smoked Ham

Sweet 'n' Spicy Smoked Ham

Ingredients required:

  • Honey (1/4 cup)
  • Dark brown sugar (packed ¼ cup)
  • Dijon Mustard (1 tbsp)
  • Precooked ham (butt portion 10lbs)
  • Whole cloves (2 tbsp)
  • Cajun Butter (for marinating 8 oz)
  • Hickory (chips)

Cooking instructions:

Combine the brown sugar, honey, mustard and rub it on the ham. Put a sharp scratch on the back of the ham. The scratch must be at least 5 or 3 inches deep. Now put in the cloves in this area.

If you are using an injection for marinade, use it to inject the Cajun butter deep in the ham. Now put it into the bowl and ready the Masterbuilt smoker at 225° F.

When the smoker is ready, put the ham in it and let it there for 45 minutes uncovered. Now remove it from the pan and let it smoke for a little while (depends on taste). Check the internal temperature of the smoker and see if it has reached at least 160° F. Once there, remove the ham and put the remaining marinade on the ham and slice it into pieces.

#2. Roast Pork (Indian Spices)

Roast Pork

Ingredients required:

  • Star Anise (4)
  • Cumin (1 tsp)
  • Coriander (1tsp)
  • Cardamom seeds (1/2 tsp)
  • Black peppercorns (1/2 tsp)
  • Turmeric (powdered 1tsp)
  • Red Chile (ground ½ tsp)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Canola oil (4 tbsp)
  • Roast Pork (6 lbs)

Cooking Instructions:

First, you must blend all the spices together. To do this, you can blend them in a blender or go old school and mix them using a mortar. A mortar almost always yields better tasting results.

Now mix this mixture with the oil and coat the already roasted pork thoroughly.

Now you must let the pork stay in the refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours. For better results, let it stay there for a minimum of 24 hours.

For the best taste, you will need to use the combination of chips. Masterbuilt recommends using hickory and apple chips. But this is entirely up to you. The chips must be added to the smoker during the pre-heat process. Pre-heat the smoker at 225° F.

When the internal temperature is set and ready, place the roast pork inside and wait for the internal temperature to reach a minimum of 160° F. If you feel the pork is not tender enough, you can extend this duration until it’s the way you like.

After this, simply wrap it in a foil paper for 30 minutes and you can serve.

#3. Summer Sausage

Summer Sausage

  • Lean hamburger meat (5lbs)
  • Morton sugar cure (2tbsp)
  • Morton tender quick (5tsp)
  • Mustard seeds (2tsp)

  • Garlic powder (1tsp)
  • Coarse pepper (2tsp)
  • Crushed red pepper (2tsp)

Directions:

Mix the entire ingredients in a large pan and refrigerate for 3 days. Keep mixing twice a day every day.

Form 2 inch diameter rolls of hamburger meat and put it in the Masterbuilt smoker at 225° F for at least 8 hours.

Check every hour and increase or decrease time as needed. Make sure internal temperature is 160° F before serving.
