Low carb barbecue sauce recipe for people watching their carbs
The following recipes are from my page on barbecue sauces. I know that a lot of people are searching on the Internet for low carb recipes. So I thought it would be a good idea to have a page right here for this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of tomato sauce
- 2 Tablespoons of chili powder
- 1 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 4 packs of splenda
- 1 teaspoon of spanish paprika
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of chopped up sweet onions-i
- like vidalia-in little pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon of chinese 5 spice powder
Directions:
Cooking the BBQ sauce mix all the above ingredients in a medium size pan and cook on low to medium heat for 15 minutes-occasionally stirring the mixture. Watch that it does not get to thick or it can burn.
You will have to sample the sauce yourself with a spoon and adjust salt and pepper as desired.
After it cools put it in the refrigerator and it should be good for a few days no preservatives and its better then the brand in the grocery because you made it yourself without high fructose corn syrup.
You can store the barbecue sauce in a glass mason jar. It should be good for three days but your family will probably eat it all up before then. What I do is I wash out my glass spaghetti sauce jars and dry them out then store my homemade-barbecue-sauce in them.
On the next link you will find more barbecue sauce recipes and wherever you see sugar or honey or molasses you will use splenda instead 4 packs or two tablespoons of splenda.

Why not have some chocolate in your life while still being low carb?
You know I have diabetes too and that’s one reason I wrote this page. So I get really upset even though I am not a physician but being able any more to have real ice cream.
Even before I had diabetes if I looked at food I gained weight. So I used to run and jog to keep the weight down. I was looking thru many health foods to find something that I could have thats real chocolate.
Okay it doesn’t have to be a big piece of chocolate or chocolate cake just enough to make me happy! Along with the bbq and low carb barbecue sauce we deserve a dessert with a little carbs!
